AC Milan Chievo Player Ratings

AC Milan defeat Chievo 1-0. A waterlogged field produced a sluggish match, but the Rossoneri were able to show their class and pick up an important three points. Milan now sit in second place and we will see how Napoli fares away to Torino. Fiorentina and Roma both lost this weekend, giving the top sides a chance to create more separation in the race for European football.

AC Milan Player RatingsAC Milan Player Ratings

Abate – 7.5; a constant threat down the right, whipped in plenty of crosses and took his markers on well

El Shaarawy – 7; dangerous all night, il faraone showed good touch and skill but just lacked the killer touch on the evening

Ambrosini – 7; a captain’s display, won the battle in midfield, did particularly well to slide in on Thereau early on

Montolivo – 7.5; great movement and hustle to tap in on the spill from a Balotelli free kick, looked calm on the ball as usual

Robinho -5.5; an ineffective display from Robinho, dribbled too much and too slowly.

Niang; – seven minute sub appearance, did extremely well to trackback and block a dangerous chance late in the match

Bonera – 6.5 – looked comfortable all match

De Sciglio – 8; Man of the match. Mattia was tackling well and bursting up field in support. Combined well with all of his teammates and appears to be getting better with each match. A wonderful display from the youngster

Balotelli – 7.5; did well to win free kicks and consistently hit the target from them. Would have expected Mario to get on the score sheet but it was his effort that set up the winner

Abbiati – 6; quiet day at the office for Cristian

Mexes – 6; calm display from the Frenchman

Muntari – 6; hot and cold performance, could have had a bigger impact
