Milan are seeded in the 2013 UEFA Champions League group phase draw for next season.
The Rossoneri featured in the second pot last term, becoming paired with Barça in the process. However, they are now 12th in the UEFA rankings earning one of the top seeds. Inter Milan, Atletico Madrid, Lyon and Liverpool all failed to qualify for the competition, allowing Milan to claim the desired seed.
At this time the top seeds are Milan, Barcelona, Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Porto, and cup winners Chelsea FC.
The other Serie A participants, Juventus and Udinese, are 43rd and 58th respectively in the UEFA rankings.
